The first things I got to see
is the following:
It looks like it's only possible to play multiplayer
via LAN or GameShow at the current state.
I had to active the game online and after that
I was ready for a ride.
Installation took about 15 minutes. Everything went fine, no problems
at all

Next thing I saw was the menu screen:

Let's create a profile first:

For a good start you may choose to play certain
practice missions for commanding the boat:
Of course, there still is the well-known museum showing models:
But now - up to the boat. My urge to experience the game became
overwhelming. |
After a short loading, I found
myself at the command station.
The ships's / screens's shaking is simply phenomenal!
Outstanding!
Even at this early point of playing I can imagine that I'm going
to experience an all-new kind of game dimension.

Here some more screens showing
different stations:

Now it's time to take a ride. What might be waiting outside there?

Some more screenshots. No comment on this. Simply watch and enjoy!

The overall mood is overwhelming. The sound of
the sea, sea gulls screaming, the braking of waves and - yes - lightning
in the sky, thunder, the engines - the whole bluster is as good
as realiy. Superb!
Ubi really put a lot of effort on the mood, the water is simply
perfect - as the whole ambience is. Some details aren't that perfect
like certain instruments and white fonts on bright background. But
that's no real taint - we're going to mod it and we're glad there
still remains something to do.
Now we're leaving the bad weather - bright skies on the horizon.
Of course, the crew had put on their southwesters, sure thing:

Let's have a look at the campaign:
We start at the U-Boat bunkers located in Kiel:

With engines slow ahead, we slowly put to sea:

The scenario looks great and thanks to the zoom
functions, I took a detailed look around.

So far for the first part of this review, some
more images to follow. Here's a screenshot of the installation directory.
One thing that might be interesting for modders is the crew, it's
possile to alter them:
